Based from Bayview on the upper northern beaches of Sydney, Bei Loon launches it's boats from the sandy bays of Pittwater - also known as paradise.

The club was established in late 2003 by Glenn and Wendy Smyth with a small group of friends and family.  With a targeted advertising campaign in local newspapers the club has grown to 150+ members (200 at it's peak).  85% of the club are Masters age but the club is striving hard to build up it's premier numbers.  Bei Loon also has a Pink BC team as part of their family called "Pittwater Pinks".

Bei Loon has won various State and National Titles in the Masters Division but ask the majority of our members what's important about our club - it' not the trophies, it's the family atmosphere that really counts, the trophies are just a bonus.  Bei Loons success comes from it's culture which is "relaxed, friendly and reliable".

We train 3 times a week and paddlers are required to attend 2 training sessions.

Bei Loon provides an important part in the Pittwater community.  We are an outlet for over 200 local Pittwater residents.   The club has a generous long term sponsor the Newport Arms Hotel who overlook our training site.  In conjunction with Tooheys New and Wild Oates (Wine), the club runs the Newport Arms Classic series which is an 8km Twilight race around Scotland Island twice a year.  It's the perfect race for teams who like a bit of fun and don't usually win trophies as just about everyone gets to go home with one.  Bei Loon holds 2 open days in August of each year followed by a registration night in early September.
