Junior Development
The DBNSW Junior Division

The junior category was introduced in 2007. In that year, for the first time, NSW was able to field a Junior State Team to compete at the 2007 National Titles. The team consisting of 60 juniors was made up of paddlers aged between 12 and 18 with varying levels of experience from all over NSW. In their inaugural year the NSW team participated in the Chinese New Year Festival in Darling Harbour. They also competed at the International Regatta Centre as part of the NSW State Titles and Australian Dragon Boat Championships.

The junior team races under the name of “Blackwattle Bay Blue Submarines”.
