AusDBF Hall of Fame

Congratulations to NSW legends Christopher Alexandrou and Jon Taylor for being the inaugural individuals to be inducted into the AusDBF Hall of Fame. Two giants of the sport in NSW and in Australia. We are so proud the first two members are from NSW.

What is the "Hall of Fame"?
Membership to the AusDBF Hall of Fame (AusDBFHoF) is the crowning achievement of a sporting career that represents the highest level of peer recognition for an individual's contribution to the sport of Dragon Boat.

The AusDBF Hall of Fame recognises and promotes the outstanding sporting achievements, integrity and character of our members. It is an illustrious group of AusDBF's most respected and celebrated champions that span the test of time. They are the best of the best, who through their achievements have made significant contributions to our dragon boat history and have inspired other dragon boaters to achieve their potential in both sport and life.

We are looking for individuals to register to join our Senior Officials Advisory Committee. This committee with be assisting with growing officials numbers, ensuring officials gain experience in a variety of roles, ensure officials are gaining knowledge and being mentored, and recruiting officials for events.

EOI for Selection - 15th Asian Dragon Boat Championships

AusDBF is excited to announce that the 15th Asian Dragon Boat Championships, hosted by China CITIC Bank (International) and sanctioned by the Asian Dragon Boat Federation (ADBF), will take place in Hong Kong, China from 9th to 14th October 2024. Australia has been cordially invited to participate in this prestigious event.

Expression of Interest (EOI) Process:

  • EOI Submission: Athletes are required to submit their EOI, which includes strength and fitness benchmarking
  • Selection Camp Invitation: Shortlisted athletes will receive an invitation to the selection camp
  • Athlete acceptance to camp: Successful applicants will need to accept the invitation to camp
  • Selection camp attendance: Attendees will participate in rigorous training and assessments during camp
  • Athlete Outcomes: Performance during the camp will determine the final team
  • Acceptance of Offers: Successful athletes will receive official offers to be part of the team
  • Community Announcement: The chosen team members will be announced
