Coaching & Officiating
As per the DBNSW Coaches & Sweeps Policy each club must have have at least one current AusDBF accredited coach (Level 1) for all training sessions and at regattas. Exemptions may be provided in special circumstances (see policy for further info).
AusDBF is the holder of the National Coaches Accreditation Scheme. Further details on the scheme can be found on the AusDBF website.

The Level 1 Coaching Course is aimed to prepare beginner coaches for club or community based activities.
The Level 2 Coaching Course is aimed for those wishing to coach at a state and/or national level. These courses are run directly by AusDBF.
The AusDBF Level 1 Coach accreditation expires four years after the date of completion. The process for re-accredtiation can be found on the ausdbf website.

Officials are an extremely important part of our sport and without them our dragon boat events wouldn't function. The national body (AusDBF) offers three levels of accreditation for Officials. Grade 3 AusDBF officials may proceed to the international body (IDBF) officials accreditation.

DBNSW and affilated clubs uses accredited officials at their regattas. Certain roles are eligible for expense reimbursment. This policy can be found here and below.
