DBNSW Director Position

Dragon Boats NSW (DBNSW) oversees the sport of dragon boat racing in New South Wales. Affiliated to the Australian Dragon Boat Federation, DBNSW is responsible for the administration, development and growth of dragon boat racing across New South Wales through the DBNSW Strategic Plan.
The governance of DBNSW is vested in a Board, which is made up of seven (7) elected volunteer Directors from the dragon boat community. The Board may also appoint Directors from the general community based on their unique skills. The Board meets monthly and Directors are remunerated solely for their meeting expenses.
The Board is seeking expressions of interest from the dragon boat community for the position of Director to fill a casual vacancy. The Board is seeking individuals with sound experience in corporate governance as well as expertise in one or more of these disciplines – financial management, government relations and marketing.
