A big thank you to DBNSW for sponsorship of this fantastic program “The Sport NSW Fast Track for Female Coaches Course”.

This was attended by Carol Fentoullis from Nowra Sydney, Brittnee Garrett from Blue Fins and Jane Howard from the Pendragons Dragon Boat Clubs.

This was a 6-week course, held at the ACPE Campus at Sydney Olympic Park and aims to connect aspiring female coaches, provide exclusive insight, and further development in coaching and leadership behaviours and competencies. The course also assists in building capability and readiness as coaches progress through the coaching talent pathway of their chosen sport.

All of us will say this was an amazing 6 weeks - connecting with like women as upcoming coaches; covering a diverse range of sports such as Dragon Boat, Ice Hockey, Triathlon, Diving, Touch Football, Soccer, Basketball and Tennis.

Through the 6 weeks we were very lucky to have access to some very experienced sports specialists present to us and share their experiences in the journey of coaching!  Each week there was great conversation between the delegates and the presenters. We exchanged information and insights about our various sports and how we could apply the learning of the week.

Carol, Brittnee and Jane are now looking to use the experiences of this great opportunity with their Clubs over the next season!!!!
