A few reminders on what dragon boat clubs need to do to manage Covid-19 in a dragon boat context as of February 2022.

If a participant feels unwell, has symptoms of Covid-19 or has tested positive for Covid-19 they must:

  • Not attend training or regattas until they test negative for Covid-19 and no longer show symptoms
  • Self-isolate if they have been instructed to do so
  • Self-isolate for at least seven (7) days from the date and time they tested positive
  • Notify their club if they have tested positive and attended training/regatta within two days prior to the positive test

All other participants must:

  • Complete Covid-19 Safe Check-in with their club at training and with the appropriate organisation at regattas where available
  • Face masks must be worn in indoor areas when not participating in exercise

Participants are no longer required to be fully vaccinated or carry vaccination evidence as of 23rd December 2021.

DBNSW encourages all individuals to practice physical distancing, proper hygiene and become fully vaccinated including boosters where available.

Further information on individuals managing covid-19 can be found on the NSW Health website.

Dragon Boat Clubs must:

  • Provide Service NSW QR Code Check in for club members and participants
  • Continue to complete Safe365 checklists at every training session
  • Notify participants if they have potentially been exposed to a positive covid-19 case at the club and encourage them to consider getting tested and monitor for symptoms

Covid-19 Safety Plans are optional.
