NSW Dragon Boat Officials Updated Policy & Reimbursement Scheme

Published Tue 03 May 2022

DBNSW has just launched an updated Expense & Reimbursement Policy. The most exciting part of this policy is DBNSW will now be providing full course fee reimbursement for any NSW official that attends a Level 2 or Level 3 officials course moving forward.

To be eligible for this you must have served as an official at a minimum five regattas over the previous two season. This also applies retroactivity to anyone that acquired level 2 or 3 accreditation in 2020 or 2021.

We hope by offering to cover this expense we can encourage our strong group of level 1 officials to obtain higher levels of accreditation which will ultimately help our NSW regattas and dragon boaters.

The policy can be found on the dbnsw website here.

Officials Courses

If you are interested in obtaining level 2 or 3 official accreditation please contact the NSW Race Officials Mentor Program Representatives Elissa Mackenzie or Maureen O’Neill.

If you or your club has members interested in attending a level 1 officials course we have scheduled a course for this coming Jun/Jul. Register here.

Re-accreditation

For any official whose accreditation has expired or is about to expiry and would like to re-accredit you can do so via AusDBF online. In further good news AusDBF recently announced that from the 1st January 2022 they will no longer be charging a $15 fee to re-accredit.

Re-accreditation can be done via the AusDBF website here > https://www.ausdbf.com.au/events/65451/

Any further questions about re-accreditation can be directed to AusDBF info@ausdbf.com.au
