Return to Paddle Update - Level C

Published Mon 29 Jun 2020

As many in our community would now be aware the NSW Government recently announced that both junior and senior sporting training, competitions and contact activities may resume from 1 July. In response, DBNSW is able to confirm that from Wednesday 1st July our sport will now move to Level C of our Return to Paddle Plan (RPP).

The most significant change in the transition from Level B to Level C is the increase in people allowed in a boat which is now up to a maximum of twenty (20). This is inclusive of drummer & sweep. The vast majority of requirements from Level B still remain.

You can find the updated DBNSW Safety Plan as well the updated checklists on the DBNSW COVID Info Hub here.

All clubs are still required to submit their safety plans, return to paddle checklists and notify DBNSW of their appointed COVID officers and seek approval before resuming dragon boat activity. Clubs that have already submitted these documents and have since been approved at Level B will not have to resubmit under Level C.
