STATEWIDE OPEN DAY - 26/27 NOVEMBER 2022

The local community has told us the retention of existing members is key, that we need to attract a new audience and generation of paddlers and we must increase the sport's profile.
The Statewide Open Day is a great way to recruit new members and introduce local people to Dragon Boating. It also gives your club a chance to demonstrate its commitment to being welcoming and inclusive.
DBNSW has invested in developing a state-wide, brand and marketing campaign. This program will deliver a media campaign across a multitude of digital and local channels based around an Open Day Weekend. This will take place on 26-27 November 2022.
DBNSW is supporting this Statewide Open Day weekend campaign by providing each signed-up NSW club with marketing and resources – such as:
- Exposure to a statewide digital campaign that will promote your Open Day
- Posters and promotional material templates
- Social media tiles
- Assistance in attracting local media attention
- Media release templates
We strongly encourage all NSW clubs to join us in celebrating and creating awareness of Dragon Boating, giving local communities the experience and thrill of dragon boating.
This Open Day Weekend is also an ideal time for clubs to use and promote DRAGON PASS. Clubs can sign up new paddlers to the one month free paddle program either before or after the come & try event. If your club is yet to setup their own Dragon Pass read further on the dbnsw website here.
To be part of this exciting campaign and the opportunity to recruit new and returning members for your club, each club is required to complete an expression of interest which can be completed via this link or the button below.
Deadline for submitting an expression of interest closes 23 October, however we strongly encourage clubs to sign up ASAP so they can take advantage of the digital campaign that DBNSW will be running. This will also ensure DBNSW, and your club will have enough time to work together and prepare for your Open Day and attract local interest.
